Vehicle Registration

Details:

All students, faculty, and staff who attend class, teach or work at the Loretto campus of Saint Francis University are required to register their vehicle with the University Police Department.

  • Vehicle registrations must be completed at the start of the school year or immediately upon bringing a vehicle onto University property.
  • One permit will be issued to each person registering a vehicle on campus.
  • Additional permits are available at an added cost.
  • Registration of a motor vehicle does not guarantee a parking space on campus or adjacent the building of your choice.
  • A person registering a vehicle in his or her name will be liable for all violations incurred by that vehicle.
  • All vehicles registered with the University Police Department for parking privilege consideration shall be duly licensed in the state of origin and maintain a current certification of inspection.
  • Vehicles registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania shall have insurance coverage or a certificate from the Department of Transportation certifying financial responsibility.
  • The University Police Department shall be notified within 24 hours when the original vehicle or license plate has changed. Failure to notify the department of a vehicle or license plate change may result in the issuance of a parking citation.
  • Employees may register multiple vehicles, owned and operated by the same person, using the same permit, at no additional cost. Vehicle operators failing to display the University issued parking permit in their vehicle will be cited for the violation.
  • Parking privileges are terminated upon completion of employment, or upon the expiration of validity of the parking permit.
