Loading and Unloading Vehicles

  • Loading and unloading is not permitted anywhere on Franciscan Way, Evergreen Drive and Pineview Drive except for Fall/Spring check-in/check-out and publicized University breaks. Members of our University community must contact University Police for special consideration if parking is needed near any of the above areas. Telephones are located outside residence halls for use in contacting Police. Those operators who violate this section will be issued a parking citation.
  • The parking lots at the rear of St. Joan and St. Elizabeth are reserved 24 hours for loading and unloading only. Your four-way flashers must be activated if you park in either of these two lots. Time for loading and unloading in these areas is limited to 15 minutes.
  • Those wishing to load or unload outside academic buildings must park at the rear of the buildings, activate their four-way flashers and notify University Police of their intention. Reserved parking spaces behind buildings or in the Raymond lot are absolutely not to be used for loading and unloading.
  • Drivers will not be permitted to temporarily park in reserved spaces. Additionally, those with reserved parking privileges are not permitted to block another vehicle that has taken their space.
  • Loading/Unloading along any roadway is not allowed, unless prior approval has been granted by University Police. If you have been given permission to park outside of your Residence hall or temporarily in a 24 hour reserved parking lot you must activate your four-way flashers.
